Where You're Always Welcome, from Breakfast to the Evening Party
You can literally pop into MOM Leroy at any time, as they're open all day. “You can have breakfast, a business lunch or an afternoon meeting, but you can also come on a date or even with your family. Our restaurant is suitable for holding events for ten to 130 people, but you can also hold an event for up to 200 people,” says business manager Kornél Csalló, who says the place is almost open 24 hours a day. “We are open from 8 am on weekdays, and often until late at night because of the parties,” he adds.
What kind of parties do they have? They organize Afro House nights on Wednesdays and Children of 80’s parties on Fridays. “Last year we launched the Lagzi Festival, with Hungarian and international hits, which is primarily sought after by the 25-28+ age group. On these evenings, the warm-up pianist Gege Piano, with whom we started organizing a separate independent evening, has also been a great success. We are also approaching our 60th Get Funky party, organized together with Jazzy Radio, which is quite a serious number and operates with a full house every time,” summarizes the store manager.
Programs for the Whole Family
Whether it is a birthday, a company event, a World Cup final, a football match or a Formula 1 race, you are welcome at MOM Leroy for any occasion.
“We also have regular programs, such as the Sunday family lunches that have been running for eight years, when you can have lunch with live music (a pianist or singer accompanied by a guitar). A babysitter takes care of the little ones in the children's corner, so parents can keep an eye on them, but at the same time they can spend some time together,” says Kornél Csalló.
A Menu that doesn't Change, Yet is Exciting
The menu at MOM Leroy consists of several parts. There is a Hungarian-international menu with tarragon veal ragout soup, farm-style breaded chicken leg, salmon steak and other delicious snacks. These include signature dishes, some of which have been on the menu for 18 years, but all of which have been available for at least 10 years. “We noticed that if we take away anything, our guests immediately react, they start looking for the tried and tested favorites. That's why we don't change our menu, we adapt the side dishes to the seasonality,” the store manager explains the consistency.
He then adds: there is a chef's offer that changes every 7-10 days, which is also popular among guests looking for something new. “In addition, there is a completely separate kitchen within our kitchen, with Asian colleagues. Our Asian menu also draws from Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and a little Korean cuisine, and it includes quite a variety of dishes from Miso soup to various Khao Soi Curry to sushi selections. We are trying to diversify our offer a bit with this,” he outlines.
If you decide to try the daily menu, you have the option to do so as well, and you can even use a creative twist: you can choose to combine one of the dishes from the two-course daily menu with the soup or main course from the three-course business menu.
And if you would like to wash down the most delicious snacks with quality drinks, in addition to the non-alcoholic selection (their cocktails are also very delicious!), you can choose your favorite from more than 140 types of short drinks and first-class wines.
“We update our wine list, occasionally changing one or two wines and differentiating between spring-summer and autumn-winter offerings. From spring to autumn, we also create a Spritz list for the terrace season, offering guests sparkling and soda-infused drinks,” says Kornél Csalló.
