Festipay Zrt., a Hungarian company, will ensure cashless payments at the 40th Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, which will be held on the first weekend of August.
On Wednesday, Festipay Zrt. told MTI that it operates several hundred contactless terminals throughout the catering units where you can pay with a bank card, mobile phone or Festipay card. This system has already been successfully used in Bahrain.
Attila Solti, member of the board of directors of Festipay Zrt., said: those arriving with cash can use a recharge card, the unused part of which can be exchanged for cash at the end of the event free of charge.
'As part of the Hungaroring's ongoing renewal, cashless payments will be the only option available in the catering units during the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. Festipay's inclusion ensures faster, more convenient and safer shopping for fans, contributing to a modern, European-quality experience at the Hungaroring", Zsolt Gyulay, Chairman and CEO of Hungaroring Sport Zrt said in the statement.
The Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix is set to take place from 1 to 3 August at the Hungaroring racetrack, located between Budapest and Gödöllő, near the M3 motorway. The track has hosted Hungarian Formula 1 races since 1986, so this year's race will be the 40th in our country. Hopefully it will be an exciting race to celebrate this milestone! Get ready for a unique weekend at the Hungaroring!
