Faithless and Morcheeba will return to Sziget Festival as part of a new Day Zero celebrating the event's 30-year legacy. Designed for longtime fans and their children, the opening day blends iconic performances with festival nostalgia.
Sziget's Day Zero is not only about bringing back legendary concerts – it's also about reuniting the people who have made the festival so special over the past three decades. This is the day when the generation that grew up with Sziget can experience the same sense of freedom, the same songs, and the unmistakable Sziget atmosphere together with their own children. György Korda and Klári Balázs will return to the festival, while the one-off, unrepeatable Pietro Fabuloso will make his Sziget debut.
Day Zero promises to be a joyful journey through time, celebrating both nostalgia and the creation of new shared memories. Bands that have previously delivered unforgettable performances at Sziget will return, allowing longtime festival-goers to relive their favourite moments – this time alongside the next generation, to whom they can finally show what growing up with Sziget was all about. After the festival's previous "Bring Your Mother!" campaign, it's now time for "Bring Your Kids!"
"We created Day Zero especially for those for whom Sziget was once an important part of life. We want them to experience again the feeling that made them fall in love with the festival in the first place, and to remind themselves that you're never too old for the Sziget spirit. And now they can even show their children why it meant so much to them," said Károly Gerendai, founder of Sziget.
The Main Stage will welcome back British electronic music legends Faithless, who first performed at Sziget in 1999. The band has delivered several historic moments in the festival's history, including their 2001 concert, when the very first "Full" sign in Sziget's history had to be displayed because the venue reached capacity.
Also returning is pioneering trip-hop group Morcheeba, who have treated festival audiences to a series of memorable performances since their Sziget debut in 2001. Goran Bregović and the Wedding & Funeral Orchestra will also be back, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their first Sziget appearance this year, bringing the same infectious energy that has always kept festival-goers dancing.
The celebrations won't end after the Main Stage concerts. Following Faithless' performance, the party moves to the Revolut Stage, recreating the atmosphere of Sziget's legendary Táncdalfesztivál Tent. The all-night celebration will begin with a special show by György Korda and Klári Balázs, who return to Sziget after many years. They will be followed by the Peti & The Hedlájnerz audio-video disco, hosted by Péter Janklovics, who will entertain the audience on 10 August in the guise of his new alter ego, Pietro Fabuloso.
