The centennial Tour de Hongrie stars tomorrow!

The centennial Tour de Hongrie stars tomorrow, 126 riders from 21 teams can compete for the yellow jersey. Today the introductions of the teams, a conference and an expo took place on Budapest's Műegyetem wharf. and we were on location.

Visitors had the opportunity to attend meet and greets with the athletes and to take part in a variety of playful cycling programmes.

This year's Tour de Hongrie, celebrating its 100th anniversary, will kick off on May 14 from Budapest's Szent Gellért Square—just as it did in its inaugural edition in 1925. The race will conclude on May 18 at the iconic Esztergom Basilica.

Key Stages

Stage 1 (May 14): Budapest to Győr, 210 km—the longest stage since 2008.
Stage 2 (May 15): Veszprém to Siófok, 178 km—expected to end in a sprint finish.
Stage 3 (May 16): Gödöllő to Kékestető, 163 km—likely to determine the overall winner.
Stage 4 (May 17): Tata to Székesfehérvár, 167 km.
Stage 5 (May 18): Etyek to Esztergom, 167 km—final showdown.
