Pitbull will perform in the Hungarian capital twice this year. The Grammy-winning American rapper will return on November 24 after his concert at the Puskás Arena, previously announced for July 21, and will also perform at the MVM Dome.
The autumn continuation of the I'm Back tour was based on the enormous interest in the production throughout Europe, organizer Live Nation told MTI on Thursday.
The ongoing concert series will be supplemented with more stops in Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, France, Serbia, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Finland and Hungary.
As reported, Pitbull will perform the defining songs of his career in his show, so a serious party atmosphere is expected. The Cuban-born world star is known for hits such as Give Me Everything and Timber.
Pitbull, aka Armando Christian Pérez, has billions of audio streams and video views; his trademark "Eeeeeeeeyoooooo" cry is one of forty sound trademarks officially registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Beyond music, Pitbull has built a diverse and growing business portfolio. He founded the record label Mr. 305 and launched the SiriusXM radio channel Globalization, which broadcasts rhythmic/dance music.
He partnered with Florida International University (FIU), which named its athletic stadium Pitbull Stadium, making it the first sports facility in America to be named after an artist. Pitbull is an advocate for education: he co-founded Slam! (Sports Leadership Arts Management), a tuition-free public school network that is recognized as a leading educational organization worldwide and currently serves more than 10,000 students in fourteen U.S. schools.
The rapper found himself at the top of the charts in the 2000s, having transitioned from underground hip-hop to more pop genres mixed with Latin rhythms. His 2009 song I Know You Want Me became the most viewed video of the year on YouTube. From then on, he had hits and collaborations with the world's most famous artists, including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Chris Brown, Shakira, Afrojack and Christina Aguilera.
According to Billboard Boxscore, the artist has generated more than $250 million in revenue during his career, with 4.7 million tickets sold worldwide. His most recent tour, the Party After Dark Tour, was the largest concert series of his solo career to date, with more than fifty stops in thirteen countries.
